In order to evaluate the current situation, propose tasks and solutions to improve the effectiveness of capital representatives at businesses in the coming time, SATRA’s 2022 Conference to Summarize Capital Management and Capital Representatives took place in Vung Tau city, with the participation of 52 capital representatives at businesses invested by SATRA.
The Conference was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia – Secretary of the Party Committee – Chairman of the SATRA Member Council. Also attending the conference were members of the Party Standing Committee, the City Party Committee, the Board of General Directors, and leaders of a number of departments and divisions in the Corporation. Especially with the participation of 23 full-time capital representatives and 36 part-time capital representatives of SATRA.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia said that in addition to assessing the current status of capital management and capital representation, this is also an opportunity to exchange and share experiences of capital representatives during the implementation process. tasks at the units, contributing to achieving goals in the following years. The role of capital representative is always of concern to the Corporation’s Board of Directors and is one of the important tasks that need to be performed in capital investment, especially state capital in participating SATRA enterprises. Currently, the Corporation is reporting to the owner, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, on the draft project to restructure the Corporation.
As of December 31, 2022, SATRA has invested in 40 businesses, with a total investment capital of more than 2,000 billion VND in 6 subsidiaries, 20 affiliated companies and 14 other investment companies. SATRA was distributed 3,622.54 billion VND in dividends and profits compared to the investment value of 2,033.89 billion VND, profit margin reached 178.13%.
The conference also heard presentations as well as many contributions from part-time capital representatives and full-time capital representatives of SATRA.
Also on this occasion, the Corporation also rewarded 32 individuals who have had outstanding achievements in the Corporation’s Capital Representative work in 2022.
Representative of the Corporation’s Board of Directors, Ms. Pham Thi Van – Party member – Deputy General Director of SATRA wishes that capital representatives join hands to contribute to building the internal linking program in the SATRA system to be developed. expand more widely and practically. This will be even more effective when capital representatives in the role of the Executive Board at the units have opinions and are interested in developing and exploiting specifically, then the internal linking program in the system will achieve more positive results.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia suggested continuing to review the capital representative planning list, develop training plans, strengthen supervision, and serve as a bridge to listen to feedback from units as well as support capital representatives to comply with legal regulations when performing their role as capital representatives. The Corporation always upholds the role of capital representatives and will always pay attention and share to this team with the Board of Members in the near future.
The topic “Law on Representatives of State Capital” by Dr. Tran Huynh Thanh Nghi, Head of the Department of Economic Law – Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics was also provided for training at this Conference.
